Its all about to change !

You may remember a little while ago I posted about changes... Well this family is changing...
I rush around, run here there and everywhere, skip meals, spend a fortune on petrol, often get to my evening meal and realise I have not had a drink all day and many other things (Hubby is just as bad ) . Well today is the day it STOPS...........

I once heard a saying "If Mamma aint happy, aint nobody happy".
Well this Mamma aint happy, OH NO SHE AINT.

Dont you sometimes feel that the days fly past and suddenly you realise you didnt have the time to sit with your little ones and listen to them read, you get them to rush their homework on a sunday evening because you have been too "busy" to do it with them earlier. What impression does it give to our children when we just dont have time, I dont want to say "Mummy doesnt have the time" anymore.. It is an easy trap to fall into, dont you think.

I want to take a side step and jump off the rollercoaster and spend as much time as possible nurturing my children and giving them the time that they deserve. I want to take more time for me and do the things that I like, I am sure there are some and I have just forgotten.

There are changes happening around here and it feels good.

Well done you! I know from experience that it's so easy to get caught up in all the other stuff and forget about why we had children sometimes. Autumn is a good season to slow down and look around and take stock. I look forward to reading some more posts about this. Bx

I've never regretted staying at home to be with the kids. I love it - I love the way the family functions. I'm not saying that it's good for all or that only women should stay home. I think in an ideal world mums and dad would both work part time and share the responsibility of housework and child minding. sometimes i feel a little guilty at how good my life is - i can spend lots of time with the kids and still find time for me. but then there is a trade off - we are not financially secure, we don't own our own home and we can't go on luxuary holidays. but it's the trade off i'm prepared to make!
enjoy your new life - and join a quilt class!

OOoo poppet am sending you a hug & a prayer x x I decided when the smalls came along that things would change,& its been hard, but its been the most achingly wonderful at the same time,as Levin & Emily said,we dont own our home now(altho who does until the last mortgage payment is made!)Mind you even now I get days where I think arrg how am I going to do x,y,x but I am learning to stop & to realise that my children wont always be here in my house, all day, every day, some day in the future thatcomes all too quick I will be laying awake worrying thatthey are driving in the dark or are somewhere I have never been,& I know right now, right here with them little & driving me bonkers lol! its the magical days,& its down to me,to fit in with them, theres years ahead for this mama to pick up her stride again.
It will all work out for you I promise,te biggest thing is done, deciding you want change to happen, some folks spend their entire lives never daring to give that thought any head space x

Hi, I came over from Warm pie, happy home. Glad I did, your blog is so lovely!

And I agree, I'm a mom too and I realize that we only have our little ones at home for a few years so it's important to make the most of it.

Many sweet blessings!
