Life has many challenges

Why is it that sometimes life has a habit of jumping up and biting you on the .... (Ahem) sometimes things seem to be flowing along and then it all crashes down upon you... I guess that the right thing to do is "Pick yourself up, dust yourself down and DEAL WITH IT!!!".

So anyway, moving on...Things have been busy as usual, we have had a trip to the park on Monday after school followed by a trip to the library... Of course my dear darling daughter chose two books to help her with French at school and my son chose one on Batman and the other on Dracula, now for those of you who know my children you will understand just how typical of them this is....

I think that I can honestly say that I am sick and tired of the winter weather and I am longing for the spring time to come. Just the thought of been out in the garden with the warmth of the sun is enough to brighten anyones day but I think to be there will be wonderful, but you know they say that "the Best Things Come To Those Who Wait". I am therefore waiting with great anticipation.

It is the last day of the month and I am really looking forward to February.

GGGRRRR... UPDATE !!!

I received a call from school today asking me to collect my son as he had been hit in the face with a cricket bat. On arriving at school he appeared to have a slight swelling to the lip and a bruise.. The Teaching Assistant said I could take him home if I wanted or leave him for the afternoon, now at this point he was skipping down the corridor to collect his bags and coat with a look of pure delight on his face. I did point out to the teaching assistant that she had really just given him a free pass to go home and nothing I now said would make him remain in the building. This is now the second time this has happened (with a cricket bat) and he has had other injuries within the last few months. I now have an appointment to discuss these safety issues with the school. I mean, would you really give a bunch of 6 year olds a cricket bat and walk away leaving them to play???? I THINK NOT !!!! The cricket bat suddenly morphs into a Light Saber or some other form of weapon and there is always a child on the receiving end of such a thing.. OUCHH!!!!

Rant over, normal service will resume.

and what a read it has turned out to be. I can honestly say that this book has captured me and it stays at the bedside and provides many an hours read. I have tried to read other Bibles but to be honest i have found them difficult to understand. i saw this one advertised and I cant put it down. You should try it.

Letter Writing

I think that there is nothing nicer than receiving a letter in the mail. When recieving a letter in the post it shows that this person has taken some of their time to think about you and your family. I think that the art of letter writing is becoming rather rare as it is so easy and sometimes quicker to pick up the phone and call. Now I certainly cant claim to be against using the phone as our phone bill will tell you otherwise, however the feeling that one gets when there is a letter in the post is rather warming and nice. In days gone by the whole family would gather around and either Mother or Father would read the letter aloud to everyone. When such letters were received they would be received with great excitement at the thought of discovering its contents and news.

As a child I used to write letters to friends who lived further afield, however as an adult I have found it hard to keep in touch with people and usually end up picking up the phone. This weekend I am going to set aside some time to write some letters to some dear friends and family, some of who I am sure will feel that their day was brigtened by receiving a hand written letter. I hope that this is something that the children will want to become more involved with and they will see that sometimes a letter says it best of all.

Busy Busy Busy

Today was a trip to see my sister.. After a nice walk into the nearby village we decided to head out for lunch... Although we both love our children it was nice to sit together without the children and have lunch. Mum also came too... I talked to my Mum about my Organising habits and learnt that as a young child I liked to have everything in its place and was quite obsessed with having things the way that I liked it. Since having the children this can be hard to maintain but I still try.. I still think that to some my habits may appear to be obsessive but since I am nearly 32 and have been like this all of my life I think that it is pretty safe to say that I will never change....

This evening we have brownies and Church choir to attend.. Whilst that is happening I would like to carry on in the kitchen tidying up the things I left out last night. Then I have a large pile of crafts things to sort my way through. I hope that you have a wonderful day.

WELCOME

Ok I admit that it is difficult to keep in touch on a daily basis as everyone is so busy and there are not enough hours in the day if you ask me. Well I decided to try and help with this problem by setting up this blog so that you can catch up on any news and have alook inside our days. So grab some lemonade or a cup of tea and settle down for a catch up..

Just so that you know, Yes we do live near to the sea, our family loves nothing better than taking a stroll along the beach. We do have to drive there as it is too far to walk but it only takes about 5 or 10 mins in the car... I will post a picture when I can figure out how to.

GOD Bless,

Sarah.
