Children

I love my children more than anything, there is nothing I wouldnt do for them. But why do they insist on whining and tormenting one another. Today has been the LAST day of school for the summer and I guess that I have two tired children. I think that when my daughter finally lost her patience with herbrother and threw something his way he thought it was the perfect opportunity to fake a cry in the hope that I would "SORT IT OUT", I could do little for trying not to laugh as he sounded just like this character.



Yes I am a BAD mother and have two very tired little children.

Ray Peterson - Tell Laura I love her

When i was a little girl my parents gave me a very old record player. I thought that I had the world, my very own record player and I was now obviously as grown up as my two older sisters. I cant remember exactly how old I was but I am guessing about 9 ish ??? Will have to check with my parents... Anyway with this record player came a couple of their old records for me to play in my bedroom, also I had The Smurf Song (do you remember that..hehehe) 15 Tearjerkers was my absolute favorite and I would play it over and over again. As time went on I have no idea what happened to this record but imagine my surprise when I was in a restaurant recently and they were playing a particular song from the album that I had always thought of as the BEST!!!
For nostalgic resons I had to search for it on the net as I always new the title of the song but would never had known who sang it, well here it is "Tell Laura I Lover Her" by "Ray Peterson".. Having done a search on the net I think it was released in 1960, well I wasnt born until 15 years after that date but I still loved the song.

This is a beautiful book, worth a look. I received it yesterday from the members of our church. Thank you fto the members of my family who came yesterday to show their support.

Girly Gardening

Just take a look at this... This is what I received for my birthday present from my parents.. "PINK WATERING CANS" along with pink gardening gloves and shears.. I turned 32 on 24th June and I thought that these were so ca-yute that i had to show you. "Pink Madness" has been part of my life for these past 32 years. As a child I loved pink and had to wear it most of the time, as an adult I can resist the urge to wear pink all day everyday but I still love the colour. I even have a pair of the most wonderful boots.



What do you think? ( mine are of course have a more worn look to them ;>...) The other piccies are taken today from the garden, showing the every so small veg patch which is coming along slowly but nicely and the lavender in the front garden.

Corners of my home #1

This is the dresser that sits in our kitchen. We had it made about 8 years ago. Over the years it has been used for many many things, right now it has jars of herbs and spices on the top and inside the bottom cupboard I have lots and lots of craft/card making stuff waiting for me to get the time to actually use it.. Does anyone out there ever find the time to do crafty type stuff? I always go to the craft shop with the idea of looking around and getting some ideas for the things that I already have and then shamefully find myself at the till with a basket containing things that will no doubt join all of the other stuff I have stashed away in this cupboard. I must try and have more will power... Must try harder.

Wash Day Blues

This is what I have been doing ALL day... How four people can create so much laundry I will never know. So i have stood with the ironing mountain and ironed until it now resembles a small hill. The whole experience was made better by watching "Little Women". I guess that we should be greatfull that we have modern day washing machines and dont have to do the whole lot by hand.
