Out of the Mouths of Babes

Most of you will either know or have guessed that I work part time as a Teaching Assistan in a Primary School Well here is a conversation I had with a 5 year old today. A little voice perks up,

Child A: "Miss is it true that if you eat the crusts from bread it will make your hair curl?"

Me : "That is what I was always told so I think it is true"

Child B to Child A " I told you she must have been eating her crusts, her hair has gone all curly"

Now normally I straighten my wavy hair as it justs frizzes out all over and looks a mess. I live near the sea and the school I work in is a stones throw away from the beach so the air can be quite damp. I had been out in the yard and the damp air had caused the curls and frizz to return, much to the delight of a bunch of 5 year olds.

Children are so funny and they don't miss a thing! I straightened my hair too until a little while ago when I've had to leave it au naturelle due my sore shoulder. I only get it straightened when I visit the hairdressers. So my hair is really pretty wild and curly (frizzy) most of the time and the children really notice the difference and aren't shy about commenting on just how wild it is! Little monsters!
