Welcome Spring

oday the weather had been beutiful, far too nice to b stuck indoors. We made the most of the weather and headed through to Newcastle and parked up at the Quayside. Here are afew pictures that I took.
The Millenium Bridge, if you look below you will see that the bridge tilts over when there is a boat passing through.

The Tyne Bridge taken from the middle of the Millenium Bridge. We decided to wait until it had let the boat through before walking across hehehehehe

Underneath the Tyne Bridge, we found a fantastic Ice Cream shop here but I was far to busy eating it to take a picture. Eaton Mess ice Cream YUMMY!!!!!!

The Baltic Flour Mill which has now been turned into A Centre For Contemporary Art. I have never been into the art part but there is a nice coffee shop at the bottom where we have spent many a Sunday afternoon drinking coffee and watching the children play.

This is a HUGE mural which is on the side of the Baltic, I thought that it was quite appropriate in these times of climate change.

It reads,

IMPROVING THE WORLD,
MEANS IMPROVING ME.
I WANT A BETTER WORLD,
I WANT A BETTER ME.

I dont know if the message is about climate change but I guess that the thing with art is that you take what you want from it. One person sees beauty and the other sees something very different. To me this is all about climate change and how we must change the person we are in order to make better changes for the world we are lucky enough to live in.

Even though it's just down the road ( sort of) I've never been to this part of Newcastle-- maybe I should explore it a bit more.

I have to confess that I've never been to the Baltic either! But that ice-cream sounds amazing! Glad you had a good day - I nearly killed myself digging at the allotment instead! Lucy x

Hello. I have come over from Barbara's site since she linked to you. It is a pleasure to browse through your blog. I'll come back to visit another time. I've been visiting Barbara now for several months and actually won a beautiful bag from her bloggaversary.
That is absolutely wild how the bridge tilts!
